Kelley + Jeff | Happy Hour 2pm-10pm!
My first meeting with Kelley and Jeff was at Jeff's bar, The Ravenna Ale House. It began with maybe 20 minutes of wedding talk and was followed with 2 hours of drinking and sports on the TV. After a great meeting, we knew right away that we were a great match for each other. I was introduced to these two when we learned that their original photographer, my dear friend Bronwen from Middle School of all places, was having a baby and would be unable to shoot their wedding. So thanks to little Kaija Isadora for enabling me to shoot one of my most fun weddings of the year!
Kelley and Jeff were married at the Golden Gardens Bath House on a fabulous Friday evening. We were all sure it was going to rain, so much so that they canceled the extra chairs for an outdoor ceremony, however Mother Nature surprised us as always and gave us a beautifully cool and cloudy afternoon. Luckily, they had the incomparable Christine Heidel as their Day Of Coordinator (one of my absolute favorite DOCs!) so everything went off without a hitch!
One of my very favorite moments from this wedding was the beginning of their ceremony. Their officiant's first words were from the unforgettably hilarious wedding scene in The Princess Bride. Mawwage. Mawwage is what bwings us together today. Wove, twue wove... If you don't know what I'm talking about, you clearly live under a rock and might be in need of a Vitamin D infusion, get yourself to a doctor STAT.
There was drinking and dancing through the night and everyone left with full bellies (the food from Skillet Street Food was AMAZING!), lifted spirits, and tired feet. Oh, and who could forget their wedding favors of Skillet's fabulous Bacon Jam!
Thanks so much for the fabulous time you two, I can't wait to hang out again!!!
many hugs,
a

Great job capturing such an intimate and beautiful location and event. We had a great time and really are thankful that we were invited to share in the celebration. Kelley and Jeff are such great friends and their wedding was such a wonderful reflection of who they are. Thanks for sharing!
