A Fresh New Look

The new website is here! The new website is here!
(New design, same address)

First of all, I'd just like to apologize to all of my recent fantastic clients who have yet to have their faces grace this blog due to my compulsion to complete this new web design. Soon my friends, soon. Second, the web address is still the same (www.soperphotography.com) , it's only the design that's changed.

Why a new design, you ask? Well, I wasn't happy with my previous web host so I dumped them. And with my new uber-host (they're based in the UK) comes a new uber-fab site, which I designed myself, so I hope you like it. Any issues or requests (or happy thoughts) you have regarding the new site will be read and considered, just leave your comment on this post. It was my goal when setting it up to be brighter, cleaner, and more friendly than it's predecessor, and I hope it's just that.

The downside: Unfortunately, this new site is in Flash. Those of you viewing it in HTML are not going to be happy. It totally sucks, I know. I haven't figured out a way to give you your own pretty version yet, but I'm working on it. You can always download Adobe Flash Player HERE (for free!) to make things much happier on your end in the meantime. Hint: If the home page doesn't look remotely close to the image above, you're in HTML.

So, that's all for now. There are still lots of babies and weddings, and tons more from Africa to come. Perhaps I'll just rapid-fire a bunch of new posts off to you next week, I suppose you'll just have to wait and see.

Loveyameanit!

AFRICA : Sneak Peek!

There is so much to share and show and gush about that all I can seem to do right now is give you a glimpse, albeit brief, into our time there. You can be certain there is a TON more to come.

I also want to take this time to begin my long diatribe of thanks to Mwai, her mom and their entire family for opening their home and their lives to us for two solid weeks. You hospitality and graciousness brings me to tears. We love you more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of my humble heart.

Show Your Love!

Check us out!

Hello friends!

Did you tear up when you saw your photos for the first time? Did you laugh hysterically when you noticed we got a picture of the best man peeing in the parking lot or your mom dancing with the DJ? Did you have as much fun with us at your wedding as we had with you? If you fell in love with me, Nichole, or Adam- just as we did with you- we want to hear from you!

We've been nominated for Best Wedding Photographer in Western Washington and we'd love for you to pop on over to King 5's Best Of site to show your love! Just click the banner above and help us get our name out there!

Special thanks go out to all of our awesome friends who've already voted. We've been blown away by your wonderful reviews! Kudos guys, you are the reason we love being photographers!

By the way, the above image is a sneak-sneak peek from Brandi & Steve's wedding- more to come in the next post!

Warmly,

Amy

Sneak Peek: Alice + Marc

As many of you know, Nichole and I are leaving for Africa on Friday. Sufficed to say, we're a little scatter brained and blogging has been bumped to just below cleaning the catbox on my To Do list. That being said, I'm going to at least attempt several "sneak peeks" this week for the shoots I've yet to post. I apologize that they may be a little out of order, I have no good reason for this except for perhaps where they happen to sit in my hard drive.

Today I start with Saturday's wedding, still fresh in my mind. Alice and Marc were married at Alice's parent's house on beautiful Orcas Island. Amidst fantastic music, delightful food, and weather to die for, they exchanged vows in front of a small group of close friends and family.

Drum Roll Please.

It is my great pleasure to now introduce to you ...

Miss Presley Pauline Robinson, born July 14th to my lovely cousin Kate and her stupendous husband Colin. Welcome to the world little peanut, I cannot express to you how much you are loved.

Rock N Roll Brides Wai-Ching Tonight!

I know I was going to hold off posting more of Angela and Evan's wedding, but circumstances intervened. Shortly after posting their sneak peek yesterday, I got an email from Kat over at Rock N Roll Bride. Kat asked if I would allow her to post Ang and Evan's fantastic wedding on their site! Rock N Roll Bride is one of my favorite wedding blogs so after doing a little happy dance at my desk I responded to her with a resounding YES YES YES! Please check out the post here.

I'd also like to mention that if you're in the market for a dress like Angela's here (also known as the-most-fantastic-dress-you'll-ever-wear) you simply must make you way over to Wai-Ching Clothing. Chrissy is one of the coolest people you will ever meet and as a bonus, makes one hell of a dress.

More to come soon...
