Ellen & Scott's Wedding

On February 21st we were fortunate enough to attend and photograph Ellen & Scott's gorgeous wedding in Seattle. It was a beautiful wedding filled with peacock feathers, exotic flowers, and jewel-toned dresses. We started off over in Roanoke at St. Patrick's church, after which the wedding party cruised around Seattle in a party bus driven by someone who really didn't know Seattle... :) After a little looping around we eventually made it to the Seattle waterfront, the Space Needle, and Dad Watson's (where they had their first date!) before arriving at The Canal in Ballard for the reception. After an awesome night of toasts, dancing, and great music, Scott & Ellen were sent off with a procession of sparklers! Here are a few of my favorite images...

Little Jeremy David

From bellies to babies! Debra wanted to surprise her husband for Valentine's day with some photos for his office of their son Jeremy. I know the Steinhart's well (I shot their wedding & little Jeremy when he was born) so of course I had to head over to see how big their little Buddha had become. He is clearly an awfully cute baby.

Ellie's Belly

I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph my friend Ellie last month as well as the little girl who was still hiding in her belly. We weren't sure if the weather was going to hold out, but it turned out to be a beautiful morning. I took the long drive out to Snohomish to meet her at her place by Lake Bosworth and it was well worth it. What a beautiful drive! Maternity shoots always feel a little awkward, but it was nice to be silly with an old friend. I can't wait to be there to welcome this little one into the world!

Rachel & Matt's Engagement

Back on February 9th (a day after 3 nights of my own insomnia) I met Rachel & Matt over in Kirkland at Heritage Park for some engagement photos.

I had never shot there before and was a little worried because of my lack of sleep. Once we got going though, Rachel's upbeat personality must have rubbed off on me and we got some great images! Matt especially, was such a trooper! Engagement photos are always so silly to guys and he persevered without much fuss.

Their wedding is in May and by all accounts will be one kick-ass party! Rachel is one of the most fun, energetic brides I've met this year and I can't WAIT for their wedding. Although it's a stock photo, I had to include the photo Rachel sent me of their wedding cake topper. How cool are these two?!

Interim Wedding Blog

Hi there!

Good news! We are working to get a new wedding blog up for the studio, but as we all know, life gets in the way. However, I have met lots of fabulous couples and found lots of cool wedding stuff that I want to share with you so, here is dane + dane studios interim wedding blog!
