{Interlude} Rozzi

My Dearest Rozzi,

It was so nice to meet you yesterday at Marymoor Park for Meagan and Aaron's engagement session.  I was especially delighted to find that when your parents weren't super excited about having their photos taken, you stepped right up to the plate and took one for the team.  You really are a fantastic model, but of course you already knew that.

I do want to apologize for the confusion I caused regarding the squeaky crab toy, you must realize I was just doing my job and only wanted to get your attention.  Please understand I only have the deepest admiration for you and am very much looking forward to meeting up again at Aaron and Meagan's wedding next month.  You are going to look smashing in your floral collar!

xoxo,
Ames

Nicole + Matt | From London to Hollywood!

I knew from my first meeting with Nicole and Matt that we would be fast friends.  Nicole is quite possibly the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet and Matt has the smile and personality to light up an entire banquet hall.

Their ceremony was at St. Jude's in Redmond and included not only a lovely service, but also special musical pieces sung by friends and members of their families.  Matt and Nicole lived for a time in London together and honored that part of their relationship by having a traditional black London cab whisk them away for photos after the ceremony.

The reception at the Hollywood Schoolhouse was a blast with wonderful food, a fantastic slide show, and favors of tasty French macaroons from Le Panier, another nod to their European adventures.  Instead of a traditional toast, Matt's parents sang the couple a beautiful song while his mother played the guitar.

The partying went late into the night with crazy dance-offs and lots of singing (I of course had to chime in just a tad during Don't Stop Believin') and was punctuated by waving streamers of white and ivory as Nicole and Matt exited to their getaway car.

Thank you so much to the Shellooes and LaBuwis for showing me such a fantastic time and throwing a magical party.   Michelle, I expect the first draft of our movie manuscript on my doorstep soon!  :)

On The Road Again...

Greetings!

Last night I returned home from a super fun and productive weekend in Long Beach, CA.  I was there to shoot some promo images for Dog is Good, an amazing retail company for anyone and everyone who loves their dog.  While I'll be blogging more about that later, I wanted to take a quick professional timeout to share with you some iphone pics from the road... sometimes it's just nice to leave the big camera in the bag.  Enjoy.

Paige + Cory | Hot For Teacher

I will not play tug o' war. I'd rather play hug o' war.
Where everyone hugs instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins,
and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.
-Shel Silverstein

Paige and Cory make me SO happy.  I mean, seriously, these two are adorable!!  You know I love me a nicely stylized engagement shoot more than just about anything and these two were more than up for it.  They're both teachers at a local elementary school and we thought what better, more personal place to shoot than where they both work and where they both met? Perfecto!  After some major classroom tomfoolery and grade-school hyjinx we drove over to Foster Island for a few more photos while traipsing around in the mud and goofing off on the docks.  Their wedding is this Fall on the highly coveted day of 11/11/11 and I can't think of a more perfect couple to warm up what is sure to be a chilly day than these two.

Love you two!!!!
