It's all in the details...

While staving off sleep tonight, knowing I have to get up early on a Saturday to drive into Bellevue for a routine blood draw (how I HATE needles!!), I decided to drum up some new edits from a few bitsy moments of years past. I am reminded that everything really is in the details.

All of those little things that brides stay up late on a Tuesday night trying to get just right. Sea shells or tea lights? Dusty Rose or Raspberry? Tiered cake? Cupcake? Heels or flip-flops? Flowers or fans?

Most importantly, how will this wedding be remembered as MY wedding?

These are the things I love most to document. In ten years it may seem silly that these things at one point consumed all your waking hours, but they did. There is a reason for the madness. This myriad of tiny little decisions are what make your day truly yours. I'd like to think that all of these pieces should be remembered. Here I share with you some new favs... in true Holga fashion. :)

Viva La Old School!!

Stuck inside today (not feeling well) I decided it might be fun to play with some old images from a wedding assist I did back in 2007. I love using different filters and effects to create more interesting images...especially when I'm just playing around for giggles.

Stay tuned for lots more in May- henna bellies, photos from Mexico, weddings on waterfronts, and a post-marriage wedding celebration for a bride's distant family... all coming soon!

Local Day Trip

Today I jetted out with my fellow photo-geek, Evan, in search of some quirky places to shoot. Neither of us could remember location scouting for fun since we began photography school years ago and we had a lot of fun poking around the Seattle area. I highly recommend Fremont & Ballard. Keep an eye out for some of these shots in this year's upcoming engagement and wedding photos!
